Documents Requirement For Belgium Schengen Visa

  • Visa fees

  • NOC Letter.

  • How long do you plan on staying in Belgium?

Please ensure that the Belgian border officer stamps your passport with an entry stamp when you enter the Schengen area. You could be penalized or arrested if you do not have a stamp.

Belgium Schengen Visa Entry Requirements

Every applicant or visitor intending to visit Belgium is not eligible to apply for a visa. The countries that come under the Schengen zone, people belonging to these countries can move freely to any zone without a visa. But because of the Schengen zone’s rules on visa issues, you will need to apply for a visa when visiting Belgium if you are:

  • A citizen of a third-world nation that has not signed an agreement with the EU on visa liberalization.
  • You are a citizen of a third-world nation that has a visa liberalization agreement with the Schengen states. Yet, you were denied visa-free entry into Belgium or any other Schengen country.

The proper way for submitting Belgium visa documents is mentioned below. Ensure that you follow the steps wisely for a successful visa granting. The following documents must be ready before you apply for the Belgium visa:

  • Form for applying for a visa to Belgium along with the applicant’s signatures and date must be written.
  • Two identical images. The images should be at most three months old and should have been taken in accordance with the Belgium visa photograph standards and specifications.
  • Your valid passport. It must have at least two blank pages to accommodate the Belgium visa requirements. Also, check the validity of your passport before applying, as it must be valid for at least three months after you leave Belgium (Schengen territory). 
  • Copies of any previous visas (if any).
  • A cover letter is mandatory. In which you describe why you want to visit Belgium and provide further information about your trip.
  •  A round trip flight booking for visa application. It contains the dates and flight numbers for entering and leaving Belgium (Schengen region).
  • Accommodation documentation. A document outlining where you will be staying in Belgium. In other words, a hotel reservation for the entire duration of the expected stay in Belgium.
  • Proof of citizenship. This could be a marriage certificate, a child’s birth certificate, a spouse’s death certificate, etc.
  • Proof of sufficient financial resources 
  • Travel Insurance for the Schengen Area. You must produce documentation proving that you have obtained travel insurance for Belgium and the entire Schengen area, with a minimum of €50,000 coverage for medical emergencies and repatriation in the event of death.

Note: Also, keep in mind that the Belgium government allows you to submit the form in any of the following languages. Form for Language Preference. Belgian authorities allow you to have your application processed in one of the three national languages of Belgium (French, German, or Dutch). If you want to complete the application in English, please select “no preference.”
